Wellness vs. Medical Care
What’s the main difference between wellness care and standard medical care? Wellness care seeks to turn on the natural healing ability, not by adding something to the system, but by removing anything that might interfere with normal function, trusting that the body would know what to do if nothing were interfering with it. At Unlimited Chiropractic we understand if you have a muscle spasm, disc injury, edema from trauma or just a sprain/strain muscle injury could cause a pinch nerve. For an example: If you have a sprinkler that just isn't working right you wouldn't just go out there an pour some chemicals on the sprinkler, nor would you throw some pills, potion or lotion on your so called defected sprinkler. If you think just replacing that sprinkler with a new one, you'll still have the same problem until you take a step back and look at what is causing your sprinkler to have less pressure. Is there a kink in the hose, is something putting pressure on the hose that would lessen the water pressure? This is how we approach your pain issues at our office, what caused it, how to help heal you and how can we stop the problem from causing your symptoms again.
We take a step back approach and look to the spine to for a problem. The kink in the hose can be a disc injury, muscle spasm, pulled muscle and much more that could cause shooting pain down your arms or legs.
Standard medical care (which is often needed),on the other hand, seeks to treat a symptom by adding something from the outside – a medication, a surgery or procedure. We feel there is a place for all doctors to help with your symptoms or pain. Unlimited Chiropractic has respect for Medical Doctors, Orthopedics, Neurologist, Radiologist, Physical Therapist, Accupunturist and many more physcians, and will refer you to someone else if needed.
We don't feel there is a chiropractic care vs. medical care. Everyone involved in the healing process can only help all of us especially you.
Inside Out vs. Outside In
It is our belief that your body has the potential to heal itself from the inside out, that being said, we will do our best to remove any subluxations in your spine that may cause your body to not be working at its highest level. We her at Unlimited Chiropractic, do only chiropractic, we don't diagnose medical conditions as we aren't medical doctors. Regular chiropractic care is what we recommend, 1 time a week, for most people and that is why we made it affordable to join our club.
